Re: Capital Improvements Project Update
Cabins
We now have all 12 of the new cabins in the final stages of completion. Only some minor interior work remains on the last 2 cabins. Then final cleaning and furnishing will follow immediately. Final grading and seeding of lawn areas and the last 2 cabins will be ready to receive the first guests.
Maintenance Building
Final site work hopefully will be completed by the end of the Month. We are waiting on the power company to set poles so that the building can be powered up.
All of the exterior storage facilities have been completed as has the paving and stone work. The interior of the building has gone about as far as it can without electricity but it will be quickly completed once power is on. The move from the old facility will be dependent on how much time our forces can devote to the move. Weather delays earlier distorted our original time table so that we are caught trying to move in mid-season.
Membrane System
This month we have saved the best for last. We have received our draft permit for construction and operation of the Membrane Bio-Reactor Waste Treatment facility.
Overall it is a very good permit for us. The draft permit notice will be posted for public comment for 30 days after which the final permit will be issued.
During the public comment period we can proceed with finalizing drawings for the plant and infrastructure that must be submitted to the State for approval. Then we can move to the construction mode.
Obtaining this permit has been an arduous, time consuming task. We are certainly pleased that it has finally been issued and especially pleased with how favorable the permit is for Tansi.
Respectfully submitted,
Capital Improvements Committee
