Re: Capital Improvements Project Update
Cabins
We now have TEN of our new cabins completed and renting. The
remaining two are framed, roofed, and partially completed inside.
Siding and the remainder of the inside work should be completed by
July 4th or very shortly thereafter. The parking area has been
expanded and temporary paving on the west side of the site is
complete.
The open house was well received and we heard nothing but positive
comments not only from our members but from visitors who came
through.
Maintenance Building
Material storage bins are being completed as of this writing. The
interior work on the building is at 80 % complete. We are waiting
for the electric company to set poles and run in the overhead
electric lines. The underground water and gas lines are in place and
final connections will proceed once power is delivered to the
building.
Final grading and paving is scheduled for the week of July 7th and
should be completed by the end of that week, weather permitting.
Membrane Plant
Unfortunately we are still awaiting documentation from the State on
our permit application. Thus, there is no progress to report at this
time.
T-Bird/Outdoor Pool
We have not reported on this phase of the projects before. But—there
has been updating of the electrical system completed in the T-Bird
and all the repairs to the outdoor pool have been completed. This
work was part of the original plan and was packaged with the
proposed new indoor pool. We are very pleased to report that the
outdoor pool repairs were completed at some $33,000.00 under budget.
A very nice savings indeed.
