talents and skills with others.
The Exchange Club
of Lake Tansi is a group of men and women working to meet the
changing needs of our community through service projects. We
sponsor a wide variety of activities primarily focused around
Child Abuse Prevention, Community Service, Youth and Americanism.
Your generosity and willingness to "roll up your sleeves
and pitch in" is a major factor in the effectiveness of
our efforts to raise money for the prevention of child abuse.

their communities. The Lake Tansi chapter meets every third Thursday
at the Hiawatha Club, next to the indoor pool at 9:30 a.m. A
brunch is always served by our members. Each year we work a day
at the Cumberland County Fair in the Country Store. Each month
we have a program informing us on diverse subjects and book reports
from members. We strive to promote a better way of life for all
through fellowship, continuing education and service and by providing
guidance in our homes and communities for the uniting of people
to make the world a better place in which to live. For more information

The Lake Tansi POA Art League was started in 1997 with eight members and now
has 25 active members and a host of others who come occasionally.
This group is open to all Tansi property owners. On Mondays at
the Thunderbird, we have regular classes scheduled in all mediums.
Class cost is $7 for a 9 a.m. to noon class and is paid to the
instructor. Some supplies are available to purchase at cost.
We have scheduled mailings in the spring and fall. Also, on Thursday
from 9 a.m. to noon, we have a paint-in at the Thunderbird. Bring
the medium of your choice and work on your own and get ideas
from others in the group. This is also a good time to get aquainted
with other artists in the area and learn more about our group
and the classes offered. Members whose dues are paid are invited
to participate in our annual Art Show and Sale. Dues are $5 for
the year. Registration fees and a list of paintings will be due
in June. In 2001 we had over 100 paintings displayed in the show.
When you eat at the Lake Tansi Restaurant, be sure to see the
Art League's display of paintings in the back dining room. They
are for sale, so please ask the manager for a list of prices,
or contact us at the number below. For more information or to
